Baymontis LLC ("Baymontis," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Baymontis platform and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and any other information you provide through our authentication provider, Clerk. This may include your name if you choose to provide it.

Usage Data. We collect information about how you use the Service, including which events you view, Intelligence Briefs and Actor Dossiers you generate, features you interact with, and the frequency and duration of your sessions.

Subscription and Billing Data. When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details. We receive and store transaction identifiers, subscription status, plan type, renewal dates, and usage counts from Stripe.

Technical Data. We automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Service, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, and device identifiers. This data is collected through standard web technologies and Google Analytics.

Communications. If you contact us via email, we retain records of that correspondence.

3. Data Storage and Retention

Your account and subscription data is stored securely in Supabase, a cloud database infrastructure provider. Event history is retained in accordance with your subscription plan: session only for free accounts, 30 days for Plus, 90 days for Pro, and 12 months for Premier. Enterprise retention periods are negotiated individually.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

5. Cookies and Tracking

6. AI-Generated Content and Your Data

When you generate an Intelligence Brief or Actor Dossier, the relevant event context, title, summary, and geographic data are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the response. We do not send your personal identity information (such as your name or email) to Anthropic as part of these requests. Generated briefs and dossiers may be cached temporarily within your session for performance purposes.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and secure credential management. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use strong passwords and to notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@baymontis.com. We will respond to all requests within a reasonable timeframe.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
